Accuracy
We aim to report accurately and to attribute facts to their sources. Our reporting works from primary records wherever possible: council documents, planning registers, official statistics and statements from named people and organisations. Where a claim comes from a press release or a single source, we say so in the article.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct the article and add a dated correction note explaining what changed. We do not silently rewrite published stories. If you spot an error, email us via the address on our about page and we will look at it promptly, usually the same day.
Sponsored content
Content that a business or organisation has paid for is always labelled as sponsored at the top of the article. Sponsored content never appears as independent news.
Complaints
If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, unfair or intrusive, email us with the article link and your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate, and reply with what we found and what we will do. If we are at fault we will say so plainly and put it right.
